how do you dip?

When you get a new coral how do you perform a dip?

For example, when i'm drip acclimating I'll leave about a half gallon of tank water in my container, and then mix in lugols, FWE, and if it's an acro i'll scrape a few mg off an interceptor pill, and then let sit for 20 minutes. Swish it superhard for 30 seconds and then put into QT.

Can everyone list their method?

that's not smart at all. everyone should be proactive about preventing pests.

I would never trade or sell to those that don't.

zoo's = fw dip for ten minutes

acro's = interceptor bath + pro cure dip + qt period for a month.

clams= inspection for snails and the shells get scrubbed.

sps = pro-cure dip
zoos = fw dip

than visual inspection

how does procure dip compare to Lugols and FWE? Same stuff or additional active ingredients?

when you do freshwater dip, how do you prep the water?

I use RO for the fw dip. I keep the temp the same, and will buffer the ph depending on what type or coral it is. zoo's I do not change the ph.
