UPDATE.

I am not longer using GFO as some of my corals never really recovered. I just had one of my Acros RTN tonight so no more GFO for me. I'll keep this updated to document how things turn out.

Say what you want about how GFO isn't bad blah blah blah...All i know is i followed the directions to the T, and i lost an acropora to RTN and i am getting STN on a birdsnest.

Wes, good move. GFO was not right for your system,. My guess is that you were already low nutrient and didn't need the GFO in the first place.

Just wanted to give everyone another update. I have been speaking to the Fauna Marin people and it looks like my algae problem is a result of impoper dosing of suppliments and I should never have used GFO in the first place.

I'll chalk this one up as a lesson learned. I am tweaking my dosing regimen as per FM recommendations and I will keep everyone posted on how i do w/ the algae and bringing my corals back into good shape. I imagine it's not going to happen overnight.
