ID and ?

Last night I moved theis frag as it was being knocked off the "Shelf" it was on too many times. When I moved it, I guess I turned it around 180 degrees, today I noticed a small colony of another coral growing on it. It is the red under the Zoa's.

Can anyone ID it?
Should I cut it off from the Zoa's so they don't overgrow it?

Cut the rock if you want to grow it out.
