Ceramic tiles

Can ceramic tile be used to mount frags? If not, why? I have a ton of tile in my basement.

1x1 tiles? I've read some people using those to mount frags, they boiled it in water first to remove any adhesives.

Actually I have all diff sizes I also have a tile cutter I wonder If I started cutting them up and selling /trading them would it be worth it I don't have a prob. Using them, but I guess like any thing else I have to try it on my stuff first and doc. It.

ive seen my buddy use pieces of 6x6 bathroom tile in his breeder for his clowns... he also has clay pots in there.... not 100 percent but im pretty sure he pre-soaked or boiled them out as well... im pretty sure u can use em, just give em a soak....

Clean them up real good and you should not have any problems.

I was just about to post on this subject! I had this exact same question. I found online that you can get blank ceramic tiles (used for art), but I am trying to find them local.

I was curious about regular tiles, since they have coatings and such on them. Boiling them will not take any of the coatings off....

I've used travertine tiles bought from Amazon with no problems since this post.

Travertine is sometimes unfinished. So that would def be what I am looking for. I may stop at a tile place to see what I can find if they have any odds and ends lying around
