first the possible egg sack. this coral looks bad because it was laying on the side you see for about a month, but the opposite side is actually quite healthy, but pay attention to the white glob. ever see this before?

secondly..can i get an exact id on this coral...some kind of monti i guess?

The blob could be a piece of bubble algae. That is just a guess. I would remove it. The orange frag looks like a monti. digi.

sometimes corals can blister...maybe that's what it was. i've talked to eric borneman about it and he thinks it's blistering and shouldn't have a negative affect on the coral.

the coral in question is a monti digitata as wazzel said. just an orange color morph.

I have recently noticed the exact same looking thing, but on a piece of live rock. 8O what is it??
