I have this stuff growing in two spots in my tank. It grows quickly, but its not very concentrated in either spot. Any Ideas? I don't think its Hydroid because it looks nothing like the pics I've seen...Its soft and flexible too btw. This part was underneath a ledge, so it needs little light I think.

The green part is a strand of chaeto that I grabbed with it.

this looks like some of the stuff I find under my rocks too. I think its scraps from my macro caulerpa. My grass shrimp and emerald crabs eat up th e caulerpa and I think this is what is left like crumbs. I usually get it out when I syphon and if there is a lot it clogs the hose but other than that I havent had a problem with it.
