I recently ordered some polyps from Live Aquaria. Some polyps came on this fragment of what I believe is a SPS of some sort. At first I thought that it was a dead frag, however at the end of acclimating the polyps I noticed on the tips of the frag there were some small red wispy things. I have noticed they retract at times but for the most part remain out. Hope the pic helps, the areas circled in green are the wispy things, they are hard to see unfortunately this is all the better I can do photo wise. The right most circle shows them best.

thanks for your reply. I was thinking that it might be dead. There are some small red things about 1/8" in length and are smaller in diameter than hair that are coming out of the pitted surface of it that made me think otherwise. These hairs seem to be growing in groups or about 3-7. However on closer examination of the rock that the dead coral sits on, I noticed that these "hairs" have spread onto it as well...I will try to get a closer pic of this. I just want to make sure that these are okay.
