what type of clam? is this

Im pretty sure this is a sort of clam as it opens and closes like one

I noticed it on my live rock after setting up my new tank

Are you talking about that small thing in the very center that looks slightly open. If so, I think it is one of those boring bivalves. They tend to dig into rock, and even corals. I don't think, however, that they can spread in aquariums so it shouldn't be anything to be concerned about.
