plant id

Can someone id this plant/algae? It is spreading from rock to rock, has leaves about 1 inch long, and roots(?) that are hairlike and attach it to the rocks.

First,..you need a better picture..but I would say Caulerpa mexicana,..it is very hard to see anything in your pic though-C

sorry, what I uploaded looked better. I will try to get a better one. Is caulperpa bad?

Depends on YOUR application,YOUR system, and YOUR filtration "stratagies".(IMO it has benifits when controlled,and located in a filtration modual/location(i.e. refugium) of your system)
