I'm not sure what either of these are. Please let me know.


The red thing seems to be damaged(it came that way) however there are lots and lots of other similar but smaller red things.

The white thing looks like it is dying. When I first got the LR it was a lot whiter. Now is a little brown. Is it somthing that I should remove from the tank?(scrape it off?) or is it harmless if it dies.

First pic looks like a coral skeleton and the second pic looks like a sponge of some sort.

If the purple thing is hard it might be a foraminifera. Those small branched purple things in the background are forams.

The small branched red/purple thingys are all over the rock. What kind of care does it take to keep them alive?

Nothing special. They make a calcium carbonate skeleton and are filter feeders of detritus, bacteria, and the like. So if you're keeping corals alive, they should do fine.
