First of all I'm sorry I dont have pics, still deciding on a good camera for tank shots and trying to research.

I got some hitchhikers in the form of anemone. They are tan / kinda transparent, tubular body. They look kinda like aiptasia but I'm not sure because I've never had them.

Day 1 I noticed them being a jelly like substance, by nitefall they perked up and fully extended.

Day 2 one moved around the rock and sank into a crevice near the powerhead and the second moved under the rock into a shaded cove. Noticed about 4 really tiny ones on a totally different rock I had gotten about 2 weeks prior. Noticed a different one (from the same batch of rock) on the complete oposite side of the tank in a shadowed part of rock buried in a crevice.

Besided some bubble algae, a few worms and a single hermit thats about all I got with 80 lbs of Fiji LR.

Thanks
Sascha

Oh yeah I forgot, If they are foe how do I kill them i.e. a fish that'll eat them, chemicle, mechanical ect. If friend how can I expect to keep them alive.

Thanks

Noticed a 4th big one today. They are all about the same size at about 3-4 inches. They definately look like aiptasia, though none are showing a foot anymore.

LFS said Copperband Butterflies are none to hesitate in making a meal of them. None come in a shipment for another 2 weeks.

Pepermint shrimp eat 'em (some times) and are cheaper than a fish.

Joe's juice gets a lot of praise on this site, but I have never used it. Same with concentrated kalk paste squirted directly on the little buggers.

I had a dozen of 'em when I set up my tank. 1 peperment shrimp ate them all.

Wow thats kinda cool! How big were yours? Right now the 4 big ones are about an inch large than my coral beauty and 2 inches larger than my perc clown.

Thanks for the tip. Right now theres only the 2 fish in there with the hitch hikers so the anemones arent doing any harm and I may just leave them where they are for right now until I decide what to do with the tank. Actually I got the fish for free with the rock.

Still trying to decide between a medium reef tank (soft, leather, ect) or FOWLR with some of the cooler large angels and things.

Try the Kalk paste if you have it around.
