Hi.. ermm.. freak, welcome to reefs.org.

Finely minced meaty foods, several times a week, and at night when its polyps are extended. Mysis is good, too. Be sure to have it placed on the substrate, never up in the rockwork.

It's not found up on rocks, it's found on substrata. Much like Heliofungia. The seafloor, as it were. You should be able to get the food directly over its polyps via turkey baster or similar device. Also (just in case), you should know NOT to place it near aggressive corals, hammers, colts, and the like. When they send out sweepers they'll sting the bejesus out of it, and could possibly kill it.

while the coral will probably do equally well on a rock as it will on the substrate, the main danger is from the coral toppling itself over and falling off the rock when it expands, or getting knocked over by a crab, turbo, etc

if you can glue or epoxy it it should be ok, though some more purist minded hobbyists may look at ya funny when they see it elsewhere other than on the substrate

I'm not so sure about that. Mine has a tendency to impale its flesh on worm tubes when it expands every morning. I try to keep them away from rock at all since I noticed this. Just my experience...

I was also thinking about getting one of these, but I think my Goby would pile sand on it, and/or at least swish sand on it when it dashes throughout the tank.
