My first moulting.

I thought I had read that the shrimp will moult if the water conditions are good, but I can't find that post, whichever board it happened to be on.

Anyway, before I go and pull this thing out, I thought I'd take a photo to show others what a moulting can look like.

My fire shrimp's molted shell looks exactly like he does. Sometimes it totally fools us and we either think there's two or it died.

its even scarier when a Coral Banded shrimp molts...that makes you think it died...i used to have some of the molts from my coral banded..looks like another shrimp even more so than your pic..the orange stripes remain on the molted exoskeleton.. pretty trippy...
