i purchased this speciment 6mos ago as alveopora. it has 24 tentacles per polyp so it can't be alveopora but could be goneopora or something different. it has a branching corallum unlike other goneopora i've seen for sale. any ideas? this is my first post. am i in the right place?

Borneman's book lists it as "Goniopora eclipsensis ?"

Good luck with it.

thank you. its been doing very well, and has started a branch from a lone polyp. i'm pretty excited about it, i haven't heard of much luck with other gonios so i think i got a lucky speciment..

FWIW I bought one of these in a 9 for 99 deal as an 'Alveopora' and it looks like a Goni to me also. Mine is same color, branching form also. Have had it 7 months so far and healthy but was hoping for an alve not a goni as well.
