These were found on a piece of live rock at our LFS. They are feather duster like in shape but they don't hide when you touch them. They reflect light like a prism. They are clear, then blue, then red, or green depending on the angle you look at them from. A fish swam by one of them and it closed like two hands coming together. This pic is reflecting red and a pic of the same things with no color showing. I have some pics that are blue but they are not very sharp.

These are very neat whatever they are. They are very colorful. I was sure someone here might be able to identify these.

Thanks in advance

I don't know what those are either, but when you find out, PM me that you know, because I had a couple pop up rght in the middle of a Goniopora and when the coral died, they disappeared as well.

HEY you're in Hot Springs... cool. I drive down to the Ouachita Trail all the time and ride my mountain bike down there at Mt. Ida.

Looks like a barnacle to me, but it's hard to tell from the pic.

i thought about that, too, matt - a barnacle. but since you can't really see them too clearly in the pic i figured maybe a worm.

Thanks.

I will try to get a close up of it. Maybe that will help. I took lots of pics and only got one that was a little clear. It might take a day or two to get over there to get closer clearer pics. That should keep it towards the top too.

Thanks again. I'm real curious about this.
