HI I AM NOT SURE IF YOU CAN HELP ME BUT I JUST BOUGHT NEW LIVE ROCK AND I NOTICED SOME SMALL THINGS LIKE PYRAMIDS ON THEM.SOME TIMES THEY OPEN THEM SELF AND CLOSE. I CAN SEE SOME THING LIVE WHAT IS MOVING INSIDE AND OTHER ARE EMPTY LIKE SOME THING MOVE OUT.I ATTACHED 3 PICTURES OF THOSE WEIRD THINGS I MARKED IT WITH ARROWS SO MAYBE YOU WILL EXPLAIN ME WHAT IS IT AND IF THIS THING IS DANGEROUS TO MY TANK THANK YOU RAFAL[[/img]

They look like oysters or clams of some sort, is your rock aquacultured? I had some FL aquacultured rock and saw tons of these fan worms that would open and close quite rapidly. I wouldnt worry about them, your bound to see a ton of life on your new rock most of which is desired and benificial. HTH

Those look like barnacles to me. Even if they're not, I doubt what we're looking at could possibly be dangerous to your tank in any way.
