It's okay. I don't think anyone here knows what this fish is. It seems to be an undescribed fish from the grouper family. I like it whatever it is!

Well i have one. Ill keep you posted on what ever i learn about it. Mine is currently about 7 inches and is still a little stressed out from transportaion so his color is faded.
If he gets really big, i have a 310 he can go in, hopefully he cant out grow that.

You have this fish?!

Wow, I'm impressed and full of questions! Can you take a digital photo of it and post it here? Where did you buy it? Where did they get it? What did they call it? How much did it cost? Can you say anything else about it? Who are you? :D

Anyperodon leucogrammicus is the name. Rarely seen in the hobby. It is listed if you do a search in fishbase. And no it doesnt stay small, its a marine grouper that grows to about 24" and is sometimes referred to as a blue slender grouper. As an adult the nice juvenile blue color completely disappears and is replaced with stripes and red spots, cant remember what it looks like now,saw an adult in the past but much more attractive as a juvenile. Old town aq. here in Chgo. had one I almost bought about a month ago for $300. Changed my mind after doing some research. Nice fish though for a huge system.
