I have what appears to be a Bristle worm. Red in color but at the very tip it opens like the worms on "Tremors" and it has a hook(talon) that comes out. It also has two or three antennas and it is nocturnal. It also seems to have developed a taste for mussels.

Yeah, I'm leaning toward the clamworm. He only comes out at night and shys away from the light so it is hard to say. Thanks for the help.

DJB, your worm is one of hundreds (thousands?) of possible species of polychaete worms.

What you are calling talon(s) are the jaws. What you are calling antennae are probably the peristomial cirri, which are structures that act like antennae.
