Hi,
During the night period of my tank, I noticed a tentacle which extended directly from the bottom section of a rock. It was extending from within the rock and looks very similar to the long snout of a queen conch when it is extended in terms of its texture, shape and maneurability. It moves about like a elephant's trunk and is banded white and black with a translucent like skin. Very smooth skin. At first, I thought it was a hitchhiker starfish, but after careful, it doesn't look like the appendages of any starfish that I've seen. Nor does it move like a starfish leg. I swear, It looks exactly like the snout of a queen conch, only it extends from a hole exactly the same diameter as the tentacle and would not fit the shell of a queen conch of the size needed to match the length and diameter of this tentacle. Any ideas?
