Sorry no pics yet....

This green algae is like no other micro I've seen before. I'm sure it's very common, but I've just never seen it. It's almost attractive as microalgaes go, and it doesn't spread fast. It has a single small attachment point at the glass the size of the head of a pin, and branches out like a very tiny fern with feathery type branches. It is NOT regular hair algae, and I'm just curious if anyone else has this.

Even without a photo...the fact that you have used the terms fern and feathery suggests it may be Bryopsis, a macroalgae.

I'd agree with that and highly suggest you physically remove it if you can (they attach really well). Evil stuff if the tank environment is right for its spread.
