i think this is a sea slug? i did not see this described in the faq. it's obviosly a sand sifter as i can see it ingesting rock and p00ping it out. will it harm my DSB, or does it not consume enough to be detrimental? it moves VERY slow.

The sand sifting members of the Class Holothuria are generally harmless detritus eaters. As stated, good for your tank. Your only concern should be making sure it gets enough to eat. How large/established is your tank?

You should make sure you have no exposed powerhead openings or sumbersible heaters the cucumber can get to. Stressed cuke=release of toxin=everything in your tank dies....

hm the tank is not established at all, ... it's only like 15 days old now ... so i guess he will starve unless i intervene. suggestions?

also, he is chilling under a ledge of rock and has not moved in a day. he appears to be exuding a slime of some sort. pls pls pls tell me this is not the toxins you speak of?
