The closest thing we were able to match it to was something in the Maxillopoda class.

Any thoughts?

It's a typical Ostracod. Probably the most popular food for Dragonettes. Beneficial as a food source and very prolific.

Outstanding pictures BTW!

Personally, I wouldn't hang my hat on an ostracod, as I haven't seen many that had that many hairs on their shells. Then again, I could be wrong....
