Can someone give me an idea what this is? My buddy put it in his tank and it grew 200%.. We are curious what it is and how to care for it.. It was sold as a plate coral, but doesn't look like any of the pics were finding.
Looks like one of my favorite corals, hence my reef.org handle of heliofungia. Heliofungia actiniformis, commonly refered to as long tentacle plate coral. In the picture it looks really swollen. Mine will sometimes be like this, other times it looks like it has been deflated.
Mine too. I think it just depends on what mood you catch them. It's like sometimes thier all "PUFFFFFFFYY!!" and other times their all like "I'm feeling down cause I'm almost an anenome!". :wink:
