Reefer
Ok, investigator1, you said you could identify anything, so here goes.

I have a 125 gallon sw tank, has been set up for 4 weeks. I started with 50 lbs of live rock and 40 lbs of live sand on top of 80 lbs of aragonite. The LR has patches of purple and red coralline algae, feather dusters, and *pods. 6 blue-green chromis have been in the tank for 2 weeks, and are doing great - always hungry! Today I added 50 more lbs of live rock.

On the original 50 lbs of live rock (fiji), there are these things I can't identify. They are pure white, about an inch to 1 1/4 inches tall, and resemble a tree branch with very fine "branches". One of them seemed to have lost it's branches, but the day after installing 576 watts of reef lights, the branches are back. Although the branches are very fine, they do not sway in the water current, which tells me they are somewhat rigid.

Any clues as to what these things are?
