When I woke up this morning to look at my tank, I saw what seems to be a turbo snail without a shell. It's about an inch long and probably between .25 to .5 inch in width. It also does not appear to have a shell. What can this thing be? I had my tank up and running for about a month now and this is the first time I've it.

I do have a turbo snail. Come it have reproduced itself?

I would bet that what you have is a stomatella snail. They have only a very small, flat shell, that can be hard to see. These often come in on live rock, reproduce easily in healthy tanks, and usually only come out at night, which is why you saw it in the morning.

They are grazers, and good to have.
