Well here it is. For those of you who followed my other thread, you know this been a journey for me. But I just received the new tank and finally starting the build. I built the stand frame myself and had a friend with many tools give me a hand with the trim and cover. The frame is all 2x4's screwed and glued with the help of a Craig jig. The top and inside bottom were covered with 1/2" ply wood. And that was covered with 1/4" sanded plywood. The top trim sticks up about 1 1/2" so the tank can sit on foam and the corners will be protected by some wood.

Cadlight

Here are some pics of the tank. The film that came on the back had a ton of bubbles in it. So I removed it and gave it a paint job with some rustoleum flat black.

C.a.d

Here is my home made sump. Don't be fooled the baffles were a pain is the a$$ to caulk. I used rtv 108 caulk. They are 1" apart and I will have a separate 29g refugium the will drain into the taller part of the sump filled with live rock. The center will house the water blaster 10000 return pump and the left section will hold the skimmer and reactors.

I was going to stain it. But I think i'm just going to spray it black. As for dealing with Cad lights, I wouldn't recommend it. There products are cheap and there customer service is horrible. They also lie more than you can imagine. Just my opinion.

I am 100% satisfied with my purchase from Cadlights.
