okay guys I'm going broke constantly replacing my poly pads does anyone have any other ideas, i was thinking about soaking them but not sure what to soak them in to get them clean any ideas would be nice thanks guys
Poly Pads are meant to be used in special circumstances like having to remove a particular metal/chemical from your tank.
Why are you using them on an on-going basis?
then what do you use to catch debri from the tankDont use them. Problem solved.
GFP/CARBON is good enough. +1 KC
Maybe I'm using the wrong wording its not the brand poly but its that type of material that is in my drip tray on my wet dry its the same material like the filter socks only in sheets
Skimmer? I dont use socks. Ive done Phos and nitrate tests weekly and im at 0 phos and 3 nitrate. So I dont really worry about it.
Use a sock if you are concerned.
So your using bio balls? is this a reef tank?
Dont use them. Problem solved.

Just run Carbon/GFP and do water change! +2 KC
