Goodbye MR...

I know I have not posted in a little while on MR, but it?s been some rough times lately and sadly, the day finally came this morning that i have decided to try and sell my set up and leave the hobby for awhile. it?s time to start my life, get a real job, my own place, and learn to save my money, not dump it away anymore. It?s going to crush me breaking down my set up and getting rid of the fish and corals I have had for so long, but desperate times come to desperate measures. i just cannot afford this hobby anymore. So, I?ll be starting a thread in the marketplace tonight, and its just about that time to say goodbye..

i just wanted to thank everyone here on this forum who really helped me with my issues and questions about this hobby. Some in particular have been a real help and really helped me solve problems I had. I knew a lot about this hobby way before I joined this site, and today I know more than I ever thought I would and it?s all because of you guys. I?m sure one day I?ll be back, but until then, hope all is well with everyone and thanks for letting me be a part of this community :hug:...

Your already set-up. Why not just let it run and grow out?
Initial set-up and stocking is the expensive part.

Ryan, I totally understand your reasoning. Its been a pleasure bs'ing with you about reefs and racing for hours on end. I'm sure you'll get everything on track and succeed whatever direction you wind up taking.

The best suggestion I can make is sell your livestock and keep your equipment. You've got some top notch equipment that will bring you decent money now, but cost you a kings fortune to replace when you return to the hobby.....and we all know you'll be back.

If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to give me a shout.

Hey Ryan,

I'm with Russ on the keeping the equipment point, at a minimum all of the heavy duty stuff maybe with an exception of the tank.

A tough decision to make no doubt, but even more so an excellent one considering what you want to accomplish for yourself.

although i am selling most...im not selling everything like i said, im leaving...for now. once i get my life on track, get a real job, get my own place, and finally pop the question to my girlfriend, then im sure ill be backkk. lol heck, when i finally do have some money and get my own place, im sure im going to be going in my head..."ok the tank can go here..or there....or over there... ect" lol this hobby will never fully leave me.

for instance, my raffle winning for the mp10wes and the battery back up...id be dumb not to keep that. im sure my next set up will be not that big and that will DEF come in handy... and other little things, like my heater, my smaller light fixture, my led strips, some random maxi jets, ect.

i will one day be back....you have my word. might be half a year. might be a year. might be 2...but i will be back, and as long as there is an MR, ill be signing back on...until then...ill be signing off...
