Little something to motivate and get you're juices flowin . . . .
The Beast of the East - stage 2 of the4 Mt Killington 5 day stage race - off the front with a teammate (I am in red, and yes, with a moustache) - teammate wound up in third overall after the 5 stages.
I made the cut and finished, but at 6'2" 196lbs, I slide like a stone on the 3500' climbs at 10% grade - I loved to hate this race.
Also, little dirt mongers fun for everyone - Team Finals - birthed a national champion (2 actually) and were jersey based (holmdel actually).
Sorry for hijacking with nostalgia - thought I'd juice you up a little for your ride.
No hijack away. I really hate riding. lol But its part of the triathlon and I need a change of scenary. I have no really challenging rides where i live now in fairfield. So that why I was interested in doing the 9W route. Plus 9W is a lot safer then where I ride now. riding in the streets around where I live people could careless about you. They will drive around you come to the red light and pull all the way to the left so you cant get through which really pisses me off when you are clipped in to your bike. A few days ago I scratched some guys mercedes. He was pissed. I said share the road. and rode off. Im not always an A$$ but it really gets on my nerves when people do stupid things and try cutting off a guy on a bike.
