How do you acclimate new corals to light.

I have 250 watt 6500k Iwa. and have some new corals and have always shaded my corals for about a week slowly increasing the intensity and photoperiod. I was wondering how long and or what routine do most of you use when getting new corals. How long do you wait until you give them the full intensity or duration?

I usually take a week or two for my corals. I normally use a combination of photoperiod and shade cloth or sometimes just shade cloth.

I have found that shade cloth works great as you can shade one or two corals without affecting existing corals. Normal shade cloth reduces light intensity by about 50% and you can stack it to reduce the intensity even more.
