I alway post my photos from abroad, but there are some fun places in New York to photograph as well!
I don't know how many of you have ever been to Williamsburg, VA but we have our own little Williamburg in Staten Island. I went up to Historic Richmondtown last month with a couple of friends who are also kind of nerdy and like history.
It was pretty interesting and it only took TWO HOURS + a train, a boat and a bus to get us there.
Most of the exteriors weren't much to see because it's spread out over a two large roads which sort of break up the old time-y mood in the photos. :lol2: This is the Christopher House.
Inside the Dutch Schoolhouse
It was revolutionary war re-enactment day and we could sign the oath to the King of England (boo).
The general store
Making butter.
Child's room in the largest of the old houses
Parlor in the largest of the houses
EDIT: and for those of you with kids under 11 but over 5, this would be a fun outing. They have a lot of stuff (or at least they did on this day) aimed for children.
