I just bought a Yellow-Streaked Fairy Wrasse the weekend. I know Wrasses are supposed to be jumpers. My hood is enclosed on three sides with the back half open. Do I need to seal of the back? You guys with wrasses, do you cover your top? What's been your experience with jumping?

I have a lunar right now and have had others in the past. I have never seen them jump out of the water. But if you are still worried about it, I dont think you would need to cover the back of canopy just yet. If the fish shows that it is jumping then maybe cover it up some.

I had a Carpenter's flasher wrasse. Never saw it try to jump but I covered my tank with eggcrate just incase. If it's easy to cover the back of your canopy with eggcrate then do it. Macimage lost a couple of fairy wrasses that managed to jump through the slots of the eggcrate.
