No Sav and JHov, I unleashed my wrath on another member who didn't understand I was joking and offended me.

Savager the topic was okay, the thread just got spun off in a whole different direction. That happens often with politically based threads. People tend to get riled up pretty quick online, and we hate to see our reef site become the cause for people hating each other. We like to do the opposite thing of course and build a strong community based on our mutual interests. That becomes hard to do when people are tearing each other apart over transit strikes, political debates, and wars. Of course we all know those things are out there and we all have our own opinions. There are plenty of forums to discuss politics on, so we do not feel Manhattan Reefs needs to be another one. It ends up being counter productive to our goals. As you see we do not ban political discussion here, but once it starts to become hateful personal attacks that's the point the threads will be closed and deleted.
