My buddy has one of those fixtures and it's awesome. I should be getting mine by next week. I'm very excited.

I might try to mod the power supply with a 0-10 power supply so I can dim via the Apex controller:).

Let me know if you decide to get one, their one of our club's sponsors and we're having a GB.

I'm hoping to fill the tank in a couple of weeks. I'm picking up salt and dry rock this weekend.

This time around I decided to only grow collector type SPS. One of my favorite ones is the Steve Tyree Purple Monster, dam I love that coral:). and also add nice calms too.

I will probably set up a second tank (lol I always do for some reason or another) just to grow zoos and rics, two of my favorite softies:). Thinking of maybe a 24x12x12. Time will tell. I'll just tell my wife this will be here tank:) and I'll be ok, lol.

off to a goos start, lmk how ya like the maxspec, on the verge of pulling the trigger on it myself

Thanks jackson,

I think I'm going to go with the Hydor Koralia Nano pumps instead of the MP20's. I spend all night yesterday reading through many threads on different boards. I'm still going to get one MP20 so I can come up with my own conclusions.

I'm still not 100% sure about which skimmer to get, but the SWC Xtreme 160 Protein Skimmer is looking nice:)

Thanks bro,

Yeah I have my heart set on the SWC 160, but I still wanted to do a little more research and gather a few more opinions:) before I order one. They used to be $199, now the price is like $60 more:(. Hopefully it drops again.

I ran 2 MP10's on my 72 Bow for giggles and compared it with 1 MP40.

I also compared with 1 MP20 and 1 MP10 on each side.

2 MP10's dialed in 3/4 of the way each on Reef Crest mode was more than enough. You can run the MP10's wireless now as well, but you have a cube I would even go as far as saying 1 MP10 is enough on 3/4 or fullblast.

Keep in mind they basically discontinued the 20's because the MP10's were putting out near the same amount of flow (MP20's Max setting) and had less power draw, noise, and footprint. It didn't make sense to keep the 20.
