My 120G BUILD

So my build Starts, I picked up my stand from JOHN today and he did an amazing job, also got all holes drilled and overflow/returns are in Glass Holes.com has a really good setup to do custom overflows and returns. my plans are to build a 120g reef tank my setup should consist of

120G48x24x24 tank
36x18 sump
1500gph overflow from glass hole
200lbs black live sand
200lbs live rock
2 250watt mh
2 t5 blues
1200gph return

I have decided to put the sump in my basement, there will be about about 11' of head trying to pick a return pump any sugg. would be great only looking for about 600gph threw sump, rest i will do with power heads

Hey Phily,

Just to let you know I picked up the material for the canopy and plan to hit it hard by this weekend. Now i here there's another big snow storm coming....I can't wait to get out of the northeast!! I'll be in touch and shoot you some pictures of the progress as i go. Seems you got alot going on over there anyway. I use a mag 24 when i do water changes from my basement to my tank on the first floor, it works pretty good and it's about 15 to 20 feet away & up. FYI

got stand back from finisher today and he did a great job!! I went with an antquie finish and i am really happy with it also started plumbing today, sumo will be located in basment so i am running 2 1.5" drains and 1 1.5" return

Going to fill it with fresh water tonight to do a leak test as well as run pumps hope fully everything works well... I have already realized that i never put a check valve on return side wich i will be adding

Quick question should i be putting a check valve on return side, sump is located in basement??????????????/
