Hey great pics!

Still deciding on lights over here. Read your thread about the Throtek and it seems as though they're not a good option! lol

Saw you were debating about skimmers.

I recently bought the sapphire and really like it, as it fits perfectly in the back and skims very well-- and i'm still in the break in period!

Let me know what lights you decide to go for!

its directly infront of my bed lol. its great! noise is pretty low as long as you keep up with topping it off.

the overflow part i hang a piece of poly pad with a paperclip and it removes all the noise. but if you do it make sure water can go around it lol. because if it gets clogged you will have a mess.

skimmer ! hmmm not sure yet. do you have the new sapphire?

also picked up some chaeto earlier - i dont have a submersable light yet for the back chamber so i bought a 3 way breeder and attached a 3 way suction cup from a pump to it. it has slots to allow flow so its good for me. kinda like an intank cpr refug which i was considering buying. anyways it cost me 5 dollars and it will do its job lol

some would say im crazy but i dont think it looks that bad. ;) lol
:banghead:

the caulerpa lol -

Thanks everyone, hopefully in a few months ill have it nice and stocked up.

Today i came home to a big mess. All of my live rock toppled over.

spent 3 hrs trying to get a scape but still dont like it ;(

its so hard when you have large rocks in such a small tank

Jonny so sorry to hear about the rockslide. Without having seen your tank, I'm going to take a guess and make the very strong recommendation that you place ALL the rock ON THE GLASS BOTTOM, not on the sandbed.

If the rock is on the sand, any sand sifting fish or inverts and even the flow from a powerhead can move the sand and cause another rockslide.

I'm glad to hear this accident wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been.

couple more pictures, my calcium was low and i haven't been able to do a water change so i have been dosing purple up the past 3 days. alot of stuff has started to open up nicer. i relocated some stuff and fooled around with the scape so i can have some shelfs for future additions. Some of the frags are still adjusting from the move but all my fish are doing great. really excited to watch everything grow.

the toadstool looks really good compared to the last set of pictures. i never seen one so i thought that was normal lol. awsome little frag - thanks young reef!coraline seems to be darkening up and traveling to new places and the GSP that i thought didnt make the trip home seems to be coming out. !!

anyways enjoy and lemmie know what you think.
