I never posted my 75 gallon tank before, and mainly because it was a fish only system. I slowly added rock to the tank, and upgraded the skimmer and finally now the light. I was adding all the corals from my nano that were growing too much into this tank, and it was quickly becoming a softy mixed reef. I added 40 more pounds of sand last nite, and an 18 pound rock. So this tank can now do what I always wanted to do.

I decided I didnt wanna do that anymore. No more soft corals in here. :irked: I am taking them all out. I just killed several colonies of anthelia.. wont make that mistake again. Next post I wanna have all new corals, and new fish.

I just got the 8 bulb 48" nova extreme t5 and want to make an lps tank, and flirt with some sps as well. tank has a remora pro with the mag 3 pump, as well as an 18w uv. I am going to re hook up my phosban reactor also. i havent added chemicals to this tank in over a year, and still have some residual algae issues from back in the day (5 years ago) when the tank was full of triggers and fueled by a fluval 404 and a sea clone lmao.

I am also going to sell/ give away or trade my fish in here, so if anyone wants one, SPEAK UP!

Anyways, if you actually read all my babbling, just know that this is another journal to capture my tanks growth and progression, as I learn and grow along with it. :bagfish:

thanks guys, I added a Koralia 4 tonite and it was way too much flow. It was blowing my fish all over the place lol. I think I am going to get 2 Koralia 3's tomorrow and see if that is a little more realistic. I dont want to have an insane amount of flow, so hopefully that will be the right amount. Anyone have a 75g and use the koralias? What combo do you use if you use more than one?

Yea great scaping and you got some real quality rock in there. Only thought is how those puffers and the corals will play together? I know they eat inverts but not sure about corals

Well, all those fish aside form the blenny and the tomato clown are gone. I donated them to the Atlantis Aquarium in Riverhead yesterday. So if anyone goes there and see's my puffer in one of the bowfront tanks, tell him I said hello lol. But to answer you question JL they were in the tank with mixed softies and lps for about a year and never touched the corals once. I also returned the Koralia 4 and got a Koralia 3 and a Koralia 2 instead. The K4 was literally blowing my fish from one side of the tank to the other lol. I guess I was a little too ambitious there.

I also heard from a very reliable source that Tonga branch and all tonga live rock will soon (meaning about a month) will no longer be available anymore. They are allowing a few more orders to be shipped out and then the Kingdom of Tonga will be closed for business with live rock. So if anyone wants the branch pieces, I highly suggest going out and getting them now.

Well I redid the rockwork and began to add some corals. Here are a few shots from today. Still have a long way to go, but I am pleased with it so far. Some of my LPS looks a lil pissed off, but they'll get over it... I hope

Looking good so far. Do your zoas bleach from being placed mid level? Every time I move my zoas from the sand bed and attempt to move them up they lose color and close up =/

Fortunately that has never happened to me. I keep my light kinda muffled so it wouldn't be that much of a change for them wherever I place them in my tank. Maybe you have too much light for them to handle?

I love it!!!! The rock work, the corals, the sand, the fish; what's there not to love?
So why didn't you call me? I would've given your puffers a home.;)

Thanks Awi! I'm sorry about the puffers and friends, but I had to put them in an acceptable place to my fiance's standards. Now she can visit the puffers at the aquarium where she knows that they will be treated the way she wants. Sometimes you just cant argue with a woman lol. :inlove:

Here's an update for my 75g, Andy P-Dubs came by today and hooked me up with some great photographs. I also added a Canarie Blenny, Leopard Wrasse, and Mandarin, completing my collection of fish for this tank. There are a few added corals as well, but the pix speak for themself.
