My 300g New Home Peninsula Build

hey All I have been a member on here for some time and have moved outside Manhattan for a bit. I am building a new house and decided to go from my 180g to a 300g. Here is a bit of my progress and setup. Equipment to follow.

- TANK 300g Glass Cages peninsula with a Coast to Coast overflow, 3 viewing sides all starfire. I did three 1.5” drains, and two 1” returns. bein this is a new home build and the tank is on my entrt level I needed to make sure the weight would be able to be supported. I hired an engineer so I couldn’t get any slack from the town and di it a bit overkill but it is done with zero question. I had 4 lally columns seti to the lower level and ran directly through the floor to a steel base. They were then welded to the base and plywood was added. ( 1 piece recessed and 1 a second piece on top.) here are a few of he early pics.

Once the house wa ready for the setting of the columns and base they went up and leveled nicely.

Here are a few of the tank still at Glass Cages. I did 3/4 starifre 3 sides with a euro-brace.

the carpenter added some 2x6 countersunk to the base for the cabinetry to come. he also leveled and sanded the plywood. You can see in the rear of the stand I had an equipment closet made for all my gear and access to the overflow. The closet has 3 quad outlets all on their own designated breakers with gfi’s and alarm sensors. I also have them cutting and running a 4” pvc from the closet under the floor to the garage which will carry all my water change hoses, my ato lines and wires, the rodi lines, as well as any other wires and controls I need to run.

Tank finally arrived Wednesday and I couldn’t be happier thus far.
