Some pics from 6/28/07:

FT Pic. All extra equipment out of tank. Just 2 powerheads and the fuge pump.

This one is the favorite of all my zoos. It incidentally hasn't been open like this for about a month:

Believe it or not, these are supposed to be brown yellow and pink. Funny what being closed for a few months will do:

Xenia and Blastos doin' great!:

Still have some hair in there, but that's gotta be eating nutrients at a great rate, especially considering I'm using the 'correct' water now adays.

:)

PS - The Aquafuge is from Jesus (JHov) and the BTA is from JP (Crox).

Nice tank. I say get a small yellow tang to take care of your hair algae. Good luck with the tank and happy reef keeping.

One advice to you. Since you didnt paint the back you should throw some wallpaper and just cover up the wires and cables.

I agree on the advice for the background, but there's definately a ton of better ways to get rid of algae. Throwing a tang in shouldn't be his first option, he could get a clean up crew and take care of it with water changes once he figures out whats causing it.

Tank looks nice btw:)

Yeah, RO/DI water from a known good vendor round here and lots of pulling out by hand are the method I'm employing. I figure, once i start running low on phosphates, the macro in my fuge will start overpowering the hair and it should go bye bye.

My tank is doing so good, I can’t help but keep taking pictures. Some of the ones I did today turned out great, so I wanted to share:

These guys are so hard to get a good picture of with my point and shoot. My guess is the sand is so bright that the camera processing makes them dark.

Clown shots. It’s true that you don’t need an anemone for clowns, but man they’re good together:

Still running on nothing but flow, light and macro. Everything looked so good that I wanted to do a little update.:spin:

IMG_3125.jpg

Some kind of leather I won in a NJReefers raffle. I believe the light tips are indicitive of new growth.

IMG_3126.jpg

This guy likes to hide and has really no impact on my algae growth that I can see.:eat:

IMG_3128.jpg

This rock used to be in my 55g, and it had 2 quarter sized shrooms on it, but when I put it in the 29g, it was oriented differently, and one of the shrooms kind of spooged down the rock into the sand, and now there's some big guys on the sand and the one on the rock has a lil baby.

IMG_3133.jpg

Anemone should never be kept under CF lighting....mine looks terrible!

IMG_3130.jpg

This shot didn't turn out to well with the lighting and all, but it shows the cleaners, which I didn't even notice when I took it.

IMG_3123.jpg

Not a very good picture, but a lot of happy LPS and some jolly softies in there, too! :bagfish:

IMG_3134.jpg

Once these guys grow in, I think I'll have a nice looking field of color. :)

IMG_3120.jpg

And finally...FTS 8/06/07
