Added some new halides today: Obviously they need to burn in.

I've had my 90g for about a year and a half. It started with DSB that I did not like so I went bare bottom. Here is the original setup. Everything but the glass tank is DIY.

I've never seen a bare tank before...do you have problems stacking your LR? I mean without anything to anchor the base of the stacks do you have to put them against the glass and such?

Gosh, I didn't think anyone would even look...

The rock is stacked on a pvc rack with a tunze stream installed
newtunzepvcrack.jpg

The rock is epoxy'd together and doesn't touch any glass, I put the big pieces on the rack and built up from there. with no DSB you need lot's of rock....

The rack is painted to look like coralline

I really like the painting to look like corraline and rock placement to hide the feet. Makes the rack invisible in the longer distance shots. I'll have to think about that someday :)

Interesting idea.... How's that working out for ya?

That tunze works great,
I have one rock above it to kinda cover it from view.
So basically I pull one rock out to get to the tunze for cleaning.

It keeps the bottom spotless.

And thank you to everyone for the nice comments.
I'll have some new to post soon.

I added an OM squirt to my system. I had a factory modification made to run only two ports instead of four (works like a SCWD). I needed to run 1000gph at 10psi and scwd won't handle that. Here is a pic of the unit taken apart showing mod to the drum

here is the unit assembled with two ports plugged

here is the basic plumbing. It goes in the corner of my canopy so one side is a 90 and the other runs to other side of the tank
