Our yellow tang does not like company - we are working on his social skills. Despite the fact that he feels that the entire tank is all his we hope to add some fish in the near future.

The backdrop for the tank is a 72" black roller shade. Its gives easy access to the backside of the tank and blocks out all the stray light into equipment room. When all the way up you get full access to the lights and the aquarium. Its a nice backdrop too!

The magnifying glass has a quart type bulb with a high /low setting. I spend hours looking through it - there is allot to see on the rock and the corals.

Yes I see the that the glass has a little build up - sure looks worse in the picture : )

Top shelf

In the upper right is the fresh water supply tank for the auto top off. Its a simple siphon to a mechanical float switch. If the whole thing fails the worst that can happen is about 10 gallons of fresh water could free flow into the refugium - my system can handle that if needed.

Going clockwise there are the testing kits, booster pump, RODI unit and my workbench which is hinged to swing straight up to give access. The 30 gallon tank on the left is my guest house. The last guest was my sick clam - unfortunately he did not make it.

The guest tank can be plumbed into the main system via that arching tube by dropping the small pump attached to it into the top of the main tank - quick easy way to bring in fresh salt water from the main tank for new arrivals or quarrantine.

Ground floor.......

Starting at the bottom left is a calcium reactor, Saltwater reservoir, 32" skimmer, CO2 tank, waste collector, cannister filter, and the refugium. In the back corner is another 50 gallon mixing tank that feeds the main pumps, chiller and skimmer. Its a DIY with partitions to capture the bubbles and hold the heaters.

The saltwater resovoir tank has its own pump and hose assembly that can be used for mixing the saltwater or to pump into the main tank.

The calcium reactor has been down due the o-ring seal breaking up. The replacement should be here shortly

Good God I hope that stuff is not in your kitchen? Is that the fridge?

That does look bad doesn't it! No it is not our kitchen. That is the laundry room/reef tank room (back of the fish tank). That refrig. is strickly for beer and fish food.

Yeah, the border is something he made but i have been after him for months to change the stain UGH.

Maybe you guys/gals can get him to get more fish. I like to see some movement.
