Well, I will try again tonight, I think I will put it on its stand and set the timer so that I am not touching it at all, by the way its just a ephoto cl18.

Nice knuckelhead, whats the demensions on the two flat side (length), and did you get it pre-drilled, and how noisy is it-thinking of doing a corner bow in my bedroom.

Hi,

The length of the tank is 28" each side

The Cabinet top is 36"

That is cutting it close allowing for plumbing.

It is noisy as hell until you get the drains tweaked right. I have like 700 gph going through the sump and that is pushing it. If I did it again I would put 1 1/2" drains in instead of the 1" that I have.

I got it drilled at a local fish store. 10$ a hole

I see that they make reef ready tanks now. I think that would be the way to go. You could probably find some way to fit a Durso Mod in the overflow chamber.

Have fun

Here is an updated picture

Some things have changed, I got rid of the magnum under the tank and put a hang on back magnum for a bit of extra flow. I also went and built a canopy with metal halides, that was on for about 6 months and was a failed experiment. I never liked more than one bulb in it because the reflections from two points of light made me dizzy. I also had trouble with algae growing only where there was direct light from the metal halides. Anyway, now its back with coralife flourescents on it, and is doin fine.

Thanks Chrispy

Sugar, yes it is, I have had him for about a month now, he is more of an experiment than anything. I wasn't really sure how he will get along with the rest of the fish
