I also thought it was a grape caulerpa. Emeral crabs also eat caulerpa.

I'm putting back my other light for now - 192W is plenty for my 30 gal, I'm thinking that 384W is waaay overkill for low light corals....

You have NO idea....I picked up a dual halide setup also in the last week...prob gonna hang onto that for the 58 gal early this Summer...

Alex, The 384w are fine. You just have to acclimate the livestock to it. You can do this by cutting down your lighting period and slowly building it up. My favorite way tho is the screen method. It's where you take several screens and put them over the tank. Over a period of time you move one piece at a time. Do a search you'll come with a ton of info.

Thanks for the info Steven, I really am going to get rid of it though - it covers the entire top of my tank making maintenence a real pain, not to mention I have halides for my bigger tank.....I really don't have any use for 384W with what I have in my tank now...

Oooh. Get yourself some halimeda and caulerpa. They have tons. Last time I ws in Miami I went to Key Largo snorkeling and brought home the above mentioned plus snails and some hermit crabs. Still have them.
