Who's idea was to drill two holes instead of cutting a slot? Those things are not going to give you much flow, your return pump will need to be dial down.

BTW, two durso in the same overflow box will not work. You can ask pecan2phat about it.

my two durso's get along together in the same box.
they are larger, that might be why.

at least with those strainers you won't have to worry about fish getting into the sump, and you can put a full (large) screen cover over the tank to make it even more fish proof.
