Any idea on a species, or even genus..it was sold as Lepastrea, but the corallites are too far apart.

Hey Gresh...giddy up. Let me get it acclimated for a few weeks and we can hook up.

The green is so bright, that it really makes the corallites look fairly far apart. On retrospect, it may be a Lepastrea species.

Rob-

When I picked it up John said you would kill me. It is a sweet piece. Thanks again for the frags, I think they are going to look great.

Karl, when I turned it over there was a label that read "charge Karl double". So, I'll have a frag for you in a few weeks, but it will be twice my usual price...just for Mr. Smarty Pants. Are you doing LPS in the new tank? I could probably get you a frag of this Lep. in a few weeks, and also my orange chalice and maybe that insane Platygyra you were drooling over the other day.

Yeah, John said he only sold it to me beacuse I had a better looking tank than you. He didn't think it would last long covered by cyano & hair algae.

I've been thinking about following your example and going LPS all the way. Primarily because I have never heard anyone say either of the following;
1) Great, I got LPS eating flatworms, anyone know a cure?
2) Anyone else get LPS red bugs at the swap?

I would say I have close to if not over 100 lps corals/frags. Knock on wood but none have ever been eaten by a predator or stressed to death by some little critter. the only problems I have encountered are with Blastomussa Wellsi just dying for no apparent reason. I have also had this happen with 2 Indo Acan Lord colonies that just started to RTN on me. Other then that just maybe some bleaching due to too much light. Right now I have about 4 acro frags that won't hold there color for the life of me. The rest is LPS with a few softies.

I will be adding some encrusting Monti's shortly, even though I am reluctant after losing over $1k in monti's to Nudi's last year ( the nudis came from a BAR swap) Everything will be QT'd for at least 1 month from now on!
