  1. Looking at nano tanks - do you have any history with them?

If they haven't changed the pump the metal shaft to the propeller will break in about 3 months. From what I have read, nano cube has a pretty bad rap. Mine went to the dumpster after 2 years. The lights in mine corroded really bad. Heat was a big problem in the summer. I had to keep the lid...

  3. Anenome just disappeared one day

Had an anemone killed by a hammer once. One of the hammer's hammer? was on the anemone and it was deflated to the point it was hard to even see.
  4. Snowflake moray / Echidna nebulosa

I'll be thinking about that for some time to come.
  8. Gonipora

I am surprised that you have had it this long. Wish I could help but I lost two and was told not to buy them because you can't keep them alive. I am sure someone here will give you and myself the lowdown on these guys. Also welcome to the board! :D
  9. PFO Solaris lights are a complete rip off and junk!!! IMO

Man, glad I read this post. Been wanting a Solaris for some time to save electric. I will be happy with 2-250 watt halide and 4-39watt t-5.
  10. Mangrove for filtration

Is there a danger of the roots bursting the tank?
  11. Mangrove for filtration

I have had a red mangrove since October and it still hasn't put out a root or leaf. About to give up. Top is out of the water and I never move it. I thought I could grow one because I grow algae so well.
  12. Coco Worm

I wish that guy would send me a package in brown paper wrapping. Wonder if he has my right address.
  13. I did a bad, bad thing... I feel horrible!

I don't feel bad or worry about stepping on ants. I mean I don't look out for them nor would I feel bad. Throwing it down the garbage disposal would have been quick and convenient. Maybe even more humane. I don't let the fleas live on my pets either. Unless of course they are on the kids.
  14. Coco Worm

So your saying NOT to open the plain brown wrapping?
  15. Coco Worm

I do want to mention I keep mine just out of direct current where they seem to get beat a little from the turbulence.
  16. Coco Worm

Yes, that is a must. I have been seeing some different colors of coco worms online lately that I haven't seen before. Always an interesting hobby.
  17. Coco Worm

Crap. Don't tell my 3 year coco worm that. I have had one act like yours and grow a new headdress (feather) after disposing of their old one as they adjust to the tank. However, I have two words for you. Oyster eggs!!! My baby cocos have grown so much better since I daily feed it to the tank.
  18. Whole Tank Shot

Such a beautiful tank! I bet Eden looked like that.
  19. Brains

I thought I read somewhere some time ago that brains have a great dislike for each other and will put out toxins to kill its neighbor. But hey, I only had one brain (in the reef) and it died. Pretty sure it was suicide.
  20. Growth rates for Micromussa and Acans

Bought my first acan at a frag meet a few weeks ago. Have him on the bottom but now after hearing this I will move him up midway. I have 456 watts.
