I'm going to remove all the sand from my nano tank (running 2 years) and have it run bare bottom. I still have some livestock in there so I'll be doing it slowly so as to not cause any spikes from trapped nutrients or bacterial instability. The sand is full of amphipods, copepods, bristle worms and stomatella snails. I never had a wrasse in there or a fish that would eat them so they've just grown freely. For all the newer people to reefs, this would be a great way to seed your tank and introduce some critters you may not have. All you need is a small amount. Introducing a large amount of established sand would probably just cause more problems. Pickup can start tonight but you may have to wait a few days if there's people in front of you as I'll be doing this slowly. I don't want anything in return, just please don't make picking it up a hassle and non-stop messaging.

Located in Bay Ridge. PM me if you're interested
