Hi guys,
To start with, they are much too large for majanos, and their morphology is completely wrong. These anemones may be some specie of Condylactis , most often seen in the US as a fairly easy-to-keep anemone from the Caribbean.
As far as I know the majano anemones are at their largest about 2 cm tall and maybe with a dime-sized oral plate. I have 2 of them (not the ones for trade) that are close to 3 inches (7cm). When I said they keep splitting i meant over the years. I purchased 3 of them over 2 years ago, and now I have 7. I can't really say they are taking over my tank or are killing surrounding corals. They are currently less then an inch away from my bubble coral and its doing fantastic (ill take a pic when my lights go on) and before bubble they were neighbors to my frogspawn, that grew to almost a foot when completly open. Ill post pictures of it as well. Since my experience as a reef hobbyist is under 3 years i suppose I could be wrong, but my experience with them has never been negative.
