Yes the fuge comes with a rio600 pump. Does not come with a light. I used a 5.00 clip on lamp from home depot with a special bulb that had to be mailed ordered. It is the best bulb to use to grow cheato. Here is the founder of that bulb's review.

I can sell the clip on lamp with a brand new bulb for $80.00, all you have to do is plug it in and turn it on and say good bye to algae problems

I have one of those. They are very sturdy. It's great, I find it more safer than the ecosystems design. It's gravity fed so you cant go wrong. The only thing is when the connector for the pump is off, some water will siphon backward into the tank but it will equalize itself and if you have nice size tank you will be fine. I've tested this to see how much water will draw back using a 20 Tank with that large refugium. Ofcourse I've provided support under the refugium since it measured exactly the same size (width ~24") as the tank.
