hello everyone. I have been reading here for a while. I must say it is a great site. so much information.

We have a 55 gallon reef, with 15lbs of live rock. with 2 hermit crabs, 1 mushroom, 1 polyp rock with a dozen or so little polyps on it. 1 perc and 1 blennie. And 1 buble corral.

My Bubble has been doing great until this morning. I have been reading that they like meat and have fed it 2x. the first time it was fine there was no problems. last nite we fed it again and this morning it spit part of it back out. Today he has been "deflated" and this morning the mouth was wide open.

Can anyone help me out here with what might be going on with my corral?

Thanks

JnJ

Everything else and the fish are doing great. is there a chance that we over fed the coral? I tested the water and there is no problems with it. just recently the bubbles are starting to inflate alittle bit. Noithing like it was prior to last nite though.

Thanks

I don't think you can overfeed a coral. If the water is of good quality, I would just keep an eye on it. If it is starting to inflate, chances are it will be back to its normal self in the coming days. Let us know! :D

I would occasionally see my bubble coral deflated after eating, I don't know why.

What were you feeding him?

Cool. You said "meat" and I wanted to be sure you meant "meaty seafood" and not say . . . hotdogs or something! :)

thanks again for all the help..

our bubble is getting happier. more of the bubbles are inflating and they are getting bigger it's progessing back to its old self again.

I cant thank you guys enough for all the help and information. What a great site to have people that are so willing to help the newbies.

I am so enjoying this tank, I am looking forward to it maturing into something like the others I have seen on this site.

Thanks again
